FIRM’S SERVICE OF PROCESS POLICY DURING SHELTER-IN-PLACE

In light of the public health threat presented by Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), our office will be temporarily transitioning to remote-based staffing only, effective March 16, 2020.

During this period of time we will not be able to send or accept physical mail. Instead, we will be utilizing email service only. To the extent any pleadings or discovery served by our office require time-sensitive responses, recipients may treat the documents as being mail-served similar to Code of Civil Procedure section 1013 and add five days from the date of email service for the response.

Our Proofs of Service will contain the following:

ONLY BY ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION. E-mailing the document(s) to the persons at the e-mail address(es) listed based on notice previously provided that, during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, this office will be primarily working remotely, unable to send physical mail as usual, and is therefore using only electronic mail. No electronic message or other indication that the transmission was unsuccessful was received within a reasonable time after the transmission.

Our firm is cognizant that all businesses and lives have been and will continue to be affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). In the spirit of community and cooperation we are willing to make reasonable accommodations when requested.
