MARIA M. LAMPASONA

Ms. Lampasona joined Lombardi, Loper & Conant, LLP in 2009, and became a partner in 2015. She became a Shareholder in the current firm upon the firms’ merger in July 2019. Her practice includes the defense of general liability, access, and employment-related claims.

In general liability matters, Ms. Lampasona’s practice has included the representation of clients in the medical transport and hospitality industries, as well as various universities, public school districts, and public and private entities. Ms. Lampasona also is experienced in advising and defending clients, including owners and tenants of large facilities, stadiums, and ballparks, regarding general liability matters, access issues, and compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.

In employment-related litigation, Ms. Lampasona has represented public entities and private companies, as well as public and private educational institutions, both in civil actions, and in administrative actions involving the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the California Civil Rights Department (formerly the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing).

Originally from Massachusetts, Ms. Lampasona graduated from the University of California at Davis, receiving a B.A. in American Studies and a B.A. in Political Science. Prior to receiving her degrees, Ms. Lampasona participated in the University of California Washington D.C. program, and interned at the White House in the office of Vice President Al Gore. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law.

– Koepke v. Ford, et al.: Secured a defense verdict in a living mesothelioma asbestos case (second chair). (Koepke v. Ford Motor Company, et al., San Francisco Superior Court Case No. CGC13276217)
– Long v. San Francisco Forty Niners: Secured favorable appellate ruling following dismissal of underlying case on demurrer. (Long v. Forty Niners Football Co. LLC, (2019) 33 Cal. App. 5th 550)
– Nieves v. City of Oakland: Secured favorable appellate ruling following dismissal of underlying case on demurrer. (2016 Cal. App. Unpub. LEXIS 8409 * | 2016 WL 6879282)
– Franco v. American Medical Response, et al.: Secured favorable appellate ruling following dismissal of underlying case on motion to dismiss for failure to serve within two years per Code of Civil Procedure section 583.420). (Court of Appeal of the State of California, Second Appellate District, Division Seven, Case No. B309840).
– Lopez v. American Medical Response West: Secured favorable ruling following dismissal of underlying case following motion for summary judgment. (Lopez v. American Medical Response West (Mar. 15, 2023, No. A161951) 89 Cal. App. 5th 336 [2023 Cal. App. LEXIS 193]).
