BRYCE GRAY
Mr. Gray joined Rankin, Mintz, Lampasona & Harper in 2006, after previously working at a prominent San Francisco defense firm. Mr. Gray concentrates his practice both in insurance defense litigation and in counseling small businesses. His emphasis in insurance defense litigation focuses on personal injury, professional negligence, products liability, and general trial practice. He has represented contractors, businesses, and individuals in a wide variety of cases, including construction defects, catastrophic injury, indemnity, and business dispute actions. Mr. Gray’s professional liability practice includes the defense of malpractice claims primarily against health care providers as well as against attorneys. Mr. Gray has represented government entities in state and federal litigation, including police misconduct and civil rights issues. He has both first and second chair trial and arbitration experience. As to his business practice, he has provided advice on several issues, including government regulation, formation and dissolution, intellectual property, and contract issues.
Selected Representation:
-Successfully defended night club operators in personal injury actions arising from allegations of excessive force used by security personnel.
-Represented a small subcontractor faced with significant insurance coverage issues in an indemnity action brought by general contractor. Successfully argued no obligation to indemnify leading to a dismissal of the action.
