Yvette M. Davis

Ms. Davis has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation with an emphasis on general liability, real property, personal injury, business transactions, probating estates and probate litigation, estate planning, public entity defense, professional liability, construction law, indemnity and employment law. She routinely counsels and represents individuals, corporations, business owners, general contractors, public entities, insurance companies, property owners, entertainment venues, transportation companies, health care providers, real estate professionals and legal professionals. She has represented and advised clients in all aspects of litigation, including claims management, risk management consulting, contract formation, employment issues and significant probate matters. Ms. Davis has represented government entities in state and federal litigation, including police misconduct and civil rights issues. Her practical experience includes service in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, United States Attorney’s Office, the City Attorney’s Office for the City of Oakland, the District Attorney’s Office for the County of Marin and the City Attorney’s Office for the City of Alameda. She has represented clients in both state and federal courts throughout California, handling all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and post-trial appeals.

Insurance company defendant and cross-complainant in an equitable subrogation action based on fatal construction site accident and claim for contractual indemnification, Alameda County Superior Court (second chair at trial, resulting in defense verdict on claims asserted against client and obtained $3.7 million verdict for client on cross-complaint).


Real estate professional defendant in a negligence, fraud and professional liability action based on sale of residential property, seeking punitive damages, Alameda County Superior Court (second chair, responsible for conducting significant discovery and case management, resulting in favorable settlement for client).
